While attending college at Loyola Marymount University, I learned the art of telling a story through film. Little did I know at that point, how versatile and valuable it would be to be able to tell a story. I soon realized that stories are the basis of not only movies, but marketing, public relations and most every form of communication.
My career started in Germany where I helped market one of the first online learning programs. After returning to the United States, I marketed and helped to rebrand one of the first online chat rooms. I then moved on to help create and manage the National Helmets to Hardhats program.
While running the marketing department at Helmets to Hardhats, I was never satisfied with the work of the public relations agencies we hired. There was too much talk and not enough action. I knew we had a great story to tell, so I took on the public relations reigns on my own.
My public relations efforts paid off quickly. The Helmets to Hardhats program was featured on many national television shows, magazines and newspapers. It was also endorsed by almost every governor at the time, senators and a former president.
After working at Helmets to Hardhats, I stated my own company, Cause Relations. I have helped my clients gain thousands of media mentions and endorsements by sharing their individual causes. Working together, I help my clients reach their maximum public relations and marketing potential.
